It was a big day for the Shadow First Teams as the Women's First Team used a one-sided 8-1 victory in Wenatchee to move into a tie for first in the Northwest Premier League while the Men's First Team played to a scoreless draw in their National Premier Soccer League home opener with current Northwest Division leader PDX FC.
Shadow WFT host Seattle in Battle for First in Saturday Doubleheader
The reigning Northwest Premier League champion Spokane Shadow Women's First Team will face its toughest opposition of the season for the season opener Saturday evening when they play host to league co-leader Seattle Stars. The match is the 6:30 pm nightcap of a doubleheader at Whitworth University that will see Shadow 2 taking on the Stars, who currently also lead the Evergreen Premier League, at 4:00.
Shadow Men's First Team home for two at SFCC June 17-18
The Spokane Shadow Men's First Team will be looking to make a dent in the NPSL Northwest table this weekend with a pair of home matches, playing host to Kitsap Saturday at 7:00 and FCM Portland Sunday at 2:00. Both games are at Spokane Falls CC Stadium. Gates open 30 minutes before kick-off. Shadow 2, meanwhile, travel to Yakima Sunday.
Shadow First Teams Head to Polo Grounds, Wednesday plus Weekend
The Spokane Shadow First Teams head to the Spokane Polo Grounds this week for three days of action in all three leagues. The Men's First Team hosts OSA FC in a rare midweek NPSL contest on Wednesday evening at 5:00. On the weekend, the Shadow Women's First Team continue defense of their NWPL crown in a pair of doubleheaders with Shadow 2 of EPLWA. On Saturday, the lads kick things off at 3:00 with the ladies following at 6:00. Kick-off times will be an hour earlier on Sunday (2:00/5:00).

The Spokane Shadow Women's First Team and Shadow 2 men's side host a pair of doubleheaders this weekend at the Polo Grounds. The Northwest Premier League champion Shadow WFT plays Twin City on Saturday at 6:00 and 2016 runner-up South Sound Sunday at 5:00. Shadow 2 play host to Vancouver Saturday at 3:00 and Olympic Sunday at 2:00 in Evergreen Premier League play.

For the second consecutive season, the Shadow Women’s First Team finished their regular season Northwest Premier League campaign with just one loss, downing visiting Yakima United 5-2 Saturday at SFCC and Fuerza FC 2-1 Sunday at the Polo Grounds. Saturday's NPSL finale for the Shadow Men's First Team also went well as they rolled to a 13-2 win against Pierce County.

Cameron Bushey Named Men's First Team Head Coach
Spokane SC Shadow announced Wednesday that the club has appointed Cameron Bushey as the new head coach of the Shadow Men's First Team as it heads into its debut season in the National Premier Soccer League, taking over for Chad Brown, who stepped down after guiding the side to a pair of championships and a third-place finish in three years.
Shadow Unveil Schedule for NPSL Debut
The Spokane Shadow announced the 2017 schedule for the men's First Team as it prepares for it's first season in the National Premier Soccer League. The team will play a 10-match schedule, facing each of the other five clubs home and away. The regular season slate kicks off May 20 and will conclude July 8 with playoff potentially to follow.
